Nah sobat budaya yang suka travelling, kali ini kita akan mengulik tentang danau yang berada di Bukit Pading. Kalo’ Semeru punya Ranu Kumbolo, maka Pading punya Linau.
Bukit Pading salah satu objek wisata yang terletak di Kecamatan Lubukbesar, tepat di Desa Perlang. Akses jalan sudah sangat memadai. Dari Perlang sobat budaya bisa terus menuju Dusun Sadap. Jangan khawatir salah jalan, karena sudah ada plang penunjuk jalan. Sebelum sampai di Dusun Sadap, sobat akan bertemu dengan Danau Pading yang keren banget dengan latar pemandangan Bukit Pading.
Tiba di Sadap, pengunjung bisa langsung menuju ke Air Terjun Sadap. Nah jika mau ke Danau di Bukit Pading, maka pengunjung bisa minta warga setempat mengantarkan ke lokasi.
Bagaimana Danau tersebut dalam Peta Belanda?
Sebelum mengulik hal itu, yuk kita cari tau tentang legenda danau tersebut!
Menurut cerita rakyat yang penulis baca, dulu penduduk setempat kesulitan mendapatkan air. Kampung itu dipimpin oleh Pak Bunai yang mempunyai seorang gadis cantik yang bernama Dayang Suri. Selain cantik, Dayang Suri juga ramah serta santun terhadap siapapun. Suatu ketika Dayang Suri bermimpi didatangi oleh seekor Naga Santan yang tinggal di mulut goa Bukit Pading. Naga Santan hendak melamar Dayang Suri pada malam bulan purnama.
Keesokan harinya Dayang Suri menceritakan mimpi itu kepada ayahnya. Pak Bunai sangat terkejut karena ia tahu, Naga Santan sangat sakti. Ia adalah seekor naga sakti yang bisa menjelma menjadi manusia.
Pak Bunai mencari cara untuk menggagalkan rencana itu. Tepat pada malam bulan purnama, ternyata Naga Santan benar-benar datang dan mengutarakan niatnya untuk mempersunting Dayang Suri.
“Naga Santan, jika kamu hendak melamar putriku, maka kamu harus membuat tiga sumber air di kampung supaya warga tidak kesulitan air lagi. Ingat, sumber air itu harus sudah selesai sampai bulan purnama tenggelam!” ujar Pak Bunai.
Mendengar syarat itu, Naga Santan menyanggupinya. Dengan mengerahkan kesaktiannya, Naga Santan membuat tiga sumber mata air sebagai syarat untuk mempersunting Dayang Suri. Dalam waktu singkat, ketiga sumber mata air itu selesai dikerjakan. Belum sampai Naga Santan menyatakan kesiapan tiga sumber mata air, Pak Budai memberitahukan bahwa sumber air di utara kampung tidak mengeluarkan air. Naga Santan segera menemui sumber air itu dan memperbaikinya. Belum selesai diperbaiki, Pak Bunai memberitahu lagi jika sumber air di sebelah selatan kampung juga tidak mengeluarkan air. Begitu seterusnya hingga bulan purnama tenggelam. Sumber air yang tidak mengeluarkan air ternyata akibat ulah Dayang Suri dan ibunya yang diam-diam menutupi sumber air.
Naga Santan sadar, ternyata Pak Bunai, istri dan putrinya telah berbuat licik dengan menutupi sumber mata air. Segera ia menemui Pak Bunai. Sambil menahan amarah, Naga Santan mengatakan Pak Bunai tak ubahnya seperti ikan pari putih yang telah menyakiti dirinya. Seketika, Pak Bunai menjadi ikan pari putih. Mengetahui suaminya telah menjadi ikan pari putih, istri dan Dayang Suri menangis sejadi-jadinya. Akibatnya kampung mereka tenggelam oleh air mata dan ditambah lagi limpahan ketiga sumber air yang dibuat oleh Naga Santan.
Kampung itu menjadi sungai dan diberi nama Sungai Limau. Dan saat malam bulan purnama, dipercayai akan muncul ikan pari putih. (berbagai sumber)
Nah sobat budaya, begitu legenda danau yang saat ini masih bisa dijumpai di Bukit Pading. Sobat percaya? kembali ke keyakinan masing-masing, ya! Selanjutnya yuk kita liat bagaimana danau tersebut dalam peta Belanda?
Menelisik peta Belanda tahun 1898 yang berjudul Kaart van het eiland Bangka sheet 3 terlihat jelas kawasan perbukitan Pading. Dalam peta tersebut, Pading ditulis G. Pading dengan ketinggian 510. Di sebelah utara puncak bukit terdapat tiga danau (bulatan berwarna bitu langit). Danau pertama ditulis Limau, danau kedua ditulis Meer (yang berarti danau) dan yang ketiga tidak dituliskan namanya. Ketiga danau tersebut mengalir ke Air Sadap. Air Sadap mengalir lagi ke Sungai Kajoeara sampai ke jalan raya Perlang – Rangauw.
Jika memperhatikan tiga danau di bukit Pading, ada titik temu antara legenda dan fakta. Menariknya lagi nih dalam peta tersebut ditulis Limau bukan Linau seperti yang kita dengar saat ini. Tapi barangkali, sumber awal menyebutkan “Limau” tapi terjadi salah dengar maka sehingga menjadi Linau seperti yang kita kenal dan dengar saat ini. Dan danaunya ada tiga, lho, bukan satu. Jadi sobat budaya, boleh nih mengeksplore Bukit Pading. Tentunya dengan mengajak warga setempat, ya!
